Elentaris File Vault
File Vault is a program to store files in an encrypted container
About the programThe program creates a container file that is encrypted with firedac AES 256-CTR encryption, which can store files from your hard disk.
Some file types (such as jpg / png images) can be viewed in-app, others may need extracting back out to disk to be used.
Basic usage
Enter a password in the box at the top.
Create a new vault, or open a previously created vault.
Vault files will be given a suggested random name, but they can be called anything.
Files can be added to the vault by drag and drop, or with a standard file selection dialog.
You can choose whether to move a file into the vault (i.e. delete from disk) or to copy, so that the file is left in place on the disk.
The move / copy selection also works when extracting files out of the vault, if 'move' is selected the file will be deleted from the vault after extraction.
Files can be up to 1GB in size, although large files will slow the initial opening of the vault.
If you forget your password, the files in the vault will not be accessible.
Bug fixes and improvements will be put into the 'Latest version' available on ko-fi. Critical security fixes will go into all versions.
